Ok, I don't buy the whole "can't be good cause you know how it's going to end" argument (not just for this, but any "prequel" story). That really bugs me. If that were true, you'd never watch any movie more than once, ever. We've seen Star Wars, we know how it ends, and yet we watch it over and over again. Why?

Well, first, let me explain my brilliant evil plan to you and how I will use this building while you struggle with your bonds...

I still say Calvin (of Calvin and Hobbes, he's not just a kid who likes to pee on everything) said it best:

@D0ct3r: I thought the premiere was ok (can't stand the lovey-dovey happy time flashbacks on the cruise), but the second ep was better and pulled me in enough that I'll keep going for now.

@Erinaceus: I recall those dark, agonizing days before my DVR and I shudder. Run, do not walk, and go get one. You'll not understand how you lived without it.

@Krakenstein: The TF and GI Joe shows won't show up for a while yet.

Finally caught up with this and have to say, the whole episode (except the great inter-cut beginning as mentioned above) just felt off. I kept waiting for Dean to wake up and realize it was all some dream within a dream (within a dream, four levels down, now I think of all dreams in terms of levels, thank you

@galanix: I thought Michael Ironside voiced DS in the JLU toon, or am I thinking of something else?

Independence what, now?

@Snaf00: I think his point is that it's not just Fox who does this kind of thing, although not really sure how it works in syndicated shows.

@serenada: He and Ron Perlman's Beast ought to get together and start a band.

Well, I happen to agree that magic shouldn't be too "easy" and can easily be over-used, but "denatures magic" sounds like an oxymoron. Isn't the whole point of magic is that it doesn't follow the normal physical rules? I think the key is to make sure that the magic comes at a price.

@serenada: Lol. Perfect. From Dark Angel, IIRC?

But what about the R.O.U.S.'s?

Unfortunately, the jests at Fox are well-deserved. It's not sci-fi, but "Lone Star" has already been canceled by Fox, after only airing two episodes, and by all accounts was one of the best new fall shows. I realize the bottom line is about the money, but I just don't understand why they don't give shows a chance,

Soooo... is her archnemesis Dog-boy, I suppose?

I've always absolutely hated the fact that a few select people get to decide what I watch, and I've never believed that sampling, no matter how careful Nielsen is about selecting, is accurate enough, especially for sci-fi shows. Any given show could have enough viewers to get renewed that may not fall across Nielsen's

@CodenameV: House Targaryen is no more, your reign but the memories of ash upon the wind. Any who give allegiance to the Dragon and to House Frey shall fall. Winter is coming. House Stark will rise triumphant to rule all of Westeros.

Looks like you could just...fall in forever.
