Actually, it’s pretty likely that she is in a union. Most older grocery workers are union.

There was nothing you could have done, as you were a child. I blame your parents, grandparents, and other relatives. I blame the child protection workers who did that plcaement. I definitely blame the people at that grocery store.
Why should she donate it? It’s her money, from her ring.
Why refer to him as Mr. Barris and not refer to her as Dr. Barris?
I hope you no longer work in mental health, FFS. There are grown adults with BPD traits.
That sounds really, really awful. I think in an effort to fight “stigma”, many women are guilted into believing that shit behavior that can be blamed on mental health issues isn’t the abuser’s fault, therefore they can’t expect them to do better.
I’m the daughter of a BPD mother, and I found the first episode to be very, very triggering, so I’m assuming that she did a great job.
We live in a country where many citizens can’t afford or access health insurance, though. Why not prioritize them?
Yeah, and once again, you’re responding to the wrong person. I am not the one who asserted that she’s mentally ill. If you’re going to go on a rant, direct it properly.
I just finished I’ll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara.
I was responding to David’s point about her alleged “depression”? Mentally ill or not, she’s disgusting and awful.
I mean, in the end, the child is dead because of her and no one else.
Seeing people defend her disgusting actions is making me sick. She’s a killer. It doesn’t matter if her ex was abusive, because, in the end, she did something way worse than he ever did.
If she’s so mentally ill that she was a danger to herself and others, she shouldn’t have had any access to that innocent baby she killed.
She is the ultimate abuser here. What she did to that child is inexcusable, and the worst act to ever happen in that child’s life. Only an abuser would murder.
Booth loves the fact that I didn’t change my name, and loves introducing me as his wife, Temperance Brennan, Esq.
There’s no established practice for men to give up their identities upon marriage, so yes, I praise any man who steps out of this patriarchal practice.
Men have *no* rationale, because they aren’t expected to change their identity upon marriage.
Nope! Men’s names are not more important or valuable than women’s names, and just because something is “tradition” it does not mean that the thing is good for society.
Booth loves introducing me to people as his wife, Temperance Brennan, Esquire. (And yes, he always says “esquire”.)
