Superpower - bestow the gifts of empathy and critical thinking on others. I would spread it like a fucking virus because I think that would help politically a lot of things to go better. Read more

I have been in all day watching the snow. I cleaned and baked fresh bread. My dog is not loving it but we ventured out a few times to make yellow snow. I cooked an amazing dinner and I am drinking wine and enjoying my view. Yeah for you getting out enjoying your dinner/wine.

What perfect timing! I was at a big regional work meeting this week, and at happy hour I accidentally soyed myself (it was snuck into an appetizer I was eating), combined with drinking, leading to throwing up so much in the bathroom that my former VP walked in to find me laying on the floor shaking uncontrollably. IIRC (and it hasn’t been all that long) 1Ls are among the most competitive of species, and for that reason, often can be among the cruelest to each other. I think that’s one reason that 1Ls are encouraged to form study groups--just so they don’t all savage each other in a Hobbsian death-match.

Mine is grocery shopping and meal prep for the week (as usual), and shopping for the following items: rain boots, winter hat, mittens, new winter coat. I also need to organize and declutter my desk, but shopping on a weekend takes so much out of me I’ll have to see if I have the energy after I’ve shopped and cooked.

Does it count if I say I have brand loyalty to the Target house brands? I trust them to be good.

I feel this way. I worked hard all week, went to the gym after work and to yoga this morning, made healthy meals for my partner and I. Yes, I need to get the car detailed and my coat dry cleaned and organize my dresser but on the other hand... do I? Or could I just throw a load of laundry in and maybe do something fun Read more

I’m definitely less loyal than I used to be - but that’s on the companies who choose to make their products shittier so they can give the shareholders an extra penny. You want me to be loyal to you? Show me the same fucking courtesy. Read more

Ugh, Hunts. Also ugh to all the small batch hipster ketchup brands. I need my corn syrup and red dye flavored vinegar for my fries!

I’d even say brand loyalty was big for the indie punk labels in the 80’s. At least amongst discheads like myself. 🤓
