IIRC (and it hasn’t been all that long) 1Ls are among the most competitive of species, and for that reason, often can be among the cruelest to each other. I think that’s one reason that 1Ls are encouraged to form study groups--just so they don’t all savage each other in a Hobbsian death-match.
she doesn’t mention if she’s religious, but if she is, she can check with her church/synagogue/temple. many religious organizations have systems in place for their members.
The United Way is a good suggestion, if she’s in North America.
Mine is grocery shopping and meal prep for the week (as usual), and shopping for the following items: rain boots, winter hat, mittens, new winter coat. I also need to organize and declutter my desk, but shopping on a weekend takes so much out of me I’ll have to see if I have the energy after I’ve shopped and cooked.
I feel this way. I worked hard all week, went to the gym after work and to yoga this morning, made healthy meals for my partner and I.
