Seriously question: then why doesn’t she? Right now, her assbag ex is controlling the narrative.

Nothing can ever make up for raping a person. Ever. You have destroyed a life if you have raped someone. This is not to say that all rape survivors are damaged goods, or anything of the sort, but to acknowledge the lasting trauma that accompanies such things.
I said “almost every state”, not “every state”. Reread.
100% with you on that. This assclown has stolen this young woman’s right to feel safe in her own home, and people are making excuses for him.
I can’t find any reliable sources on this claim. Have any?
You’re talking about a ton of different issues here. We need to be talking about the fact that men get away with rape, full stop. We don’t need to dilute it by talking about forgiving rapists.
Let’s not discount sexism. I’ll never, ever forget the shitty comments on Bossip and The Root after Chris Brown bashed Rihanna’s face into the car. There was non-disputable evidence that he seriously brutalized her ... and somehow, it was a conspiracy to take a successful black man down, and she provoked him, and she…
This is ABSOLUTELY a huge myth. There are Romeo and Juliet clauses in almost every state with a 2-year-window for age difference if both are teens. That’s up there with the old chesnut that you can become a lifetime offender for accidentally peeing on a school, which is totes why SO MANY MEN are on the list.
In my experience, people are far more lenient on family members and friends than they would be on another criminal. I have no problem with a statutory rapist who choked a teenager and beat her being put on lifetime probation. It’s gross enough that a 23-year-old felt it okay to date someone who is maybe a junior in…
She’s a woman who dared say publicly that she’s worth as much as the men she works with, and that makes her worthy of scorn.
She was excellent in Silver Linings Playbook. She’s really talented at the serious stuff.
Jez started hating her when Chris Rock started talking shit on her. I really like her.
And he’s goddamn worth every fucking penny.
People like Dee Dee don’t see it the way that we do. They won’t feel guilty, they’ll feel angry that they’re caught, and will consider themselves victims.
I disagree with you. I think it’s just fine for women to kill their abusers ... regardless of who those abusers are.
Oh I’m very sure that cabs in the US are a particular breed of awful.
I’m not opposed to the death penalty. I don’t care about “rehabilitating” rapists. I care about victims, and our system doesn’t.
I don’t really think so, especially when it comes to elite athletic competitions.
No, but maybe it makes sense for her to be competing against men? She has XY chromosomes, IIRC.
That would punish women athletes, though.
