You might want to clarify your post... if it’s attached, you absolutely should remove it ASAP no ifs, ands, or buts. But once it is removed, then you can save the removed tick for analysis. Your post sounds like you are recommending letting it stay attached.

Counterpoint: The band is truly incomparable. Great music and energy, in spite of and not because of the excesses of some members. The goofy “structured” halftime shows get the attention, but the postgame jams and campus performances are invigorating.
