Parachute, poorly faked death.
Yeah, I’m just gonna point out that the biker was %100 at fault here. Everybody involved screwed up, and like you said, we hope he’s OK after this...but it’s pretty plain to see that the biker was driving way too fast for what he was doing.
Isn’t the guy in the car that filmed all this at fault, too? He left his lane and went onto the shoulder. Shoulders aren’t there for people to move onto to be nice to people on motorcycles. This created a space that the lane changer wouldn’t have expected to appear, through which the motorcyclist passed through at…
Plus that mesh would have to be heated to prevent icing which would make it even heavier and complicated.
The JTD-8 is still there in spirit, or at least in the song of the APU. Man, those things drown everything else out.
Because anything strong enough to adsorb the impact of a goose at 500 mph -and not end up breaking free and being sucked into the engine it’s supposed to protect! - is probably going to reduce the free air area of the intake by 10%.
You can think whatever you want but as a practical matter there is no difference. They’re taking steps to identify people and avoid people who A) they are legally entitled to avoid if they so choose and B) are likely to cause them expense and difficulty.
I’m constantly amazed at bad internet lawyering. On what basis do you, random internet person, declare their business model “illegal”? Have you approached federal prosecutors with your damning evidence of their illegal business model?
I honestly don’t see a problem with it. People actively avoid cops all the time. Hell, this is basically just an internal version of waze’s road reports, with a little more predictive finesse thrown in.
So if you’re black, you can’t catch a cab. If you’re a cop, you can’t catch an Uber. If you’re a black cop, you’re getting too old for this sh*t.
The interceptors are critical to directing rockets in the right direction and if they go off course, it could lead to very disastrous consequences—like hitting something other than the warhead it is supposed to strike.
It seems like it’s either a state or a town thing. Used to see them a lot more around here (MA) but they’ve been disappearing, which tells me that either people didn’t use them so when the hoses were due for replacement they nixed the extensions, or the town made them take them down.
You know how some people get bent out of shape over people who don’t park perfectly centered? I get that level of pissed off when I see people doing this at the fuel station.
my sons program is also named Bort
A little context here is important. Of course, U.S. military officials know the Minuteman III needs to be replaced and that the Russians are constantly modernizing its nuclear weapons arsenal. But the reasons why the Kremlin will get the Sarmat in service so quickly has much to do with how Russia and America’s…
When you started, you promised to keep your biases out of your reporting. You are failing miserably. FA needs honest reporting; not another gawker wanabee. I would guess you are losing military readers by droves due to your bias. Stop it.
500rpm isnt even idle speed for the engine...
Well lets be 100% honest here. We should have never built the space shuttle.
