The problem with GoPro is that they squandered their first mover advantage. Their cameras have always had miserable user interfaces and dumb proprietary mounts (honestly, how hard is it to put a 1/4-20 threaded insert into your case?) and they shackled themselves for too long to the same terrible form factor.

It takes Scooter Guy a few precious seconds to process what’s going on, then when he finally runs, he goes all Prometheus...

The false narrative we need to free ourselves from is that law enforcement will act to protect anyone other than themselves and fellow officers. If there is any non-zero amount of risk involved, cops will nope out every time.
