You know what I would settle for?
You know what I would settle for?
There’s a reason we assign them mandatory bedtimes and don’t let them vote (insert your own 2016 Republican primary voter joke here).
Nothing but guys crashing test mules. It would be hard to get manufacturer support, but it would be very popular while it lasted...
Reminds me of when one of Jack Roush’s friends used his Jet Ranger to dry off the dragstrip at Bowling Green. I haven’t met many billionaires, but out of the ones I have, Don Bowles is my favorite. A regular guy who just happens to have the money to do anything he thinks is interesting.
This, exactly. The US aerospace industry is in crisis because it’s basically at the point where there is just enough production available to maintain a viable, trained workforce. Once all the skilled labor and engineers retire, or have to find other jobs, you lose continuity of institutional knowledge and it takes…
I KNEW before I even clicked on the link that I was going to be enraged by vertical video. I didn’t expect to be double-angry because of a missed money shot.
Here’s a deeper dive into (as you mentioned) the car that’s much more strongly associated with US astronauts: Astronauts and Corvettes: Just Like Mom, Apple Pie, and Rock & Roll
Inevitably someone will make the argument that “more emissive pipes allows exhaust gasses to be cooler, ergo denser, ergo moving out faster for more performance!” But I can’t believe any gain from this is worth discussing.
The F-35’s gun is not without some controversy as no version of the F-35 will not be able to employ any gun, podded or internal, until 2017
Gonna sit down to watch my DVR recording of this weekend’s NHRA eliminations... Oh, wait! It’s been preempted by the Little League World Series, again! Who could have known that this baseball game played by children would possibly occur in a similar time frame as a drag race? Damn those kids for scheduling their games…
Another awesome post, marred by poor copy editing/DGAF from Gawker Media...
Yep. As I suspected. You’re out of airspeed, altitude, and ideas there Maverick. I’m not sure why you’re so angry at lawyers, and I won’t speculate, because I don’t know you. All I can be sure of is that you chose your username either with a sharp sense of irony, or a total lack of self-awareness.
You’re right, because a debate requires two opposing viewpoints that can both be defended.
“You’re firing us for this?”
PM me your address. I want to use all your old stuff without permission since nobody cares.
Ah, the ad hominem attack. Last resort of the debater who has lost the argument on facts. Way to take the High Road.
Hey Bill, let’s go burn this guy’s gas instead of our own by taking his car outside of the normal test loop. Let’s violate his trust by doing something we didn’t need to do to diagnose and fix his car. Let’s risk getting bad press for our employer by doing something that shows we don’t respect our customers’ property.
Ford keeps doubling down on things nobody is asking for. Technically complicated, physically huge, small displacement, highly stressed engines? Check! Materials vulnerable to fatigue limits used in novel, high-stress areas? Check!
If memory serves, it dates back to when shaped charge projectiles were the go-to anti armor round - a spinning projectile apparently diminishes the Munroe Effect.
Actually, the filtering effectiveness goes UP as the filter gets dirtier. You clean it because flow is starting to get restricted, not because it stops trapping dirt. I read the link - interesting stuff. I’ll pass it along to the guys at K&N and see what they have to say.
