Gonna sit down to watch my DVR recording of this weekend’s NHRA eliminations... Oh, wait! It’s been preempted by the Little League World Series, again! Who could have known that this baseball game played by children would possibly occur in a similar time frame as a drag race? Damn those kids for scheduling their games

Another awesome post, marred by poor copy editing/DGAF from Gawker Media...

Yep. As I suspected. You’re out of airspeed, altitude, and ideas there Maverick. I’m not sure why you’re so angry at lawyers, and I won’t speculate, because I don’t know you. All I can be sure of is that you chose your username either with a sharp sense of irony, or a total lack of self-awareness.

Hmm... So the thing that isn’t actually happening didn’t actually pause? Thank Dawkins that there is Scientific Consensus to guide us! Otherwise we might be making foolish, disastrous choices based on a flawed premise...

You’re right, because a debate requires two opposing viewpoints that can both be defended.

“You’re firing us for this?”

PM me your address. I want to use all your old stuff without permission since nobody cares.

Ah, the ad hominem attack. Last resort of the debater who has lost the argument on facts. Way to take the High Road.

Hey Bill, let’s go burn this guy’s gas instead of our own by taking his car outside of the normal test loop. Let’s violate his trust by doing something we didn’t need to do to diagnose and fix his car. Let’s risk getting bad press for our employer by doing something that shows we don’t respect our customers’ property.

So no, you don’t really have a point other than “nuclear weapons are bad”

Ford keeps doubling down on things nobody is asking for. Technically complicated, physically huge, small displacement, highly stressed engines? Check! Materials vulnerable to fatigue limits used in novel, high-stress areas? Check!

If memory serves, it dates back to when shaped charge projectiles were the go-to anti armor round - a spinning projectile apparently diminishes the Munroe Effect.

If GoPro didn’t have such a massive first mover advantage in the “action camera” market, their horrible UI and non-standard mounting hardware (seriously, how hard is it to put a 1/4-20 threaded insert into something?) would have been the kiss of death.

“Why is the LED blinking? Does that mean it is recording video? Wait- now it’s steady. Am I in time lapse now? Or is it the other way around? Dammit, three blinks, pause, three blinks, pause... Where is my phone so I can use the app?”

Actually, the filtering effectiveness goes UP as the filter gets dirtier. You clean it because flow is starting to get restricted, not because it stops trapping dirt. I read the link - interesting stuff. I’ll pass it along to the guys at K&N and see what they have to say.

“Did it start recording? Did I hold the button down too long? What mode is it in now? Did I just stop it? How long is a long press? Shit, did I press it too short and now it’s not even on? Dammit, now I turned it off again!”

...and there is the second myth. I wish everybody could spend a day at K&N and see how they test their filter media. Granted, I have skin in this game because they help fund my paycheck, but I have seen their operation first hand and talked to their engineering staff. Their filters don’t give anything up in terms of

Yes ;)

Nah, Replay HD is way more tacticool.
