Even better, verything about this computer seems to have been delightfully slipshod.

The problem with general aviation isn't "there aren't enough hangars." And even if the problem was "there aren't enough hangars," the answer wouldn't be, "we need more rules about hangars" - it would be "build more hangars."
I was just at a tech briefing that dealt (in part) with the LT4, and keeping it low profile was indeed a concern, due to European regs about how much of a "trampoline" the hood has to be for pedestrians.
Ooh, TWELVE animations on the LED roof? How futuristic!
The Corvette already is mid engined. I just went out and looked at my C5, and sure enough, the engine is entirely located within the wheelbase.
The only problem is if they cut him loose and he's still wrapped in static bags and lines - the ADD will just fire his reserve right into that tangled mess. That's presuming that the Mexican armed forces use them in the first place.
I disagree, because he goes from being stable and not spinning, to a spin that's painfully fast. "Correct" posture or not, once you start to whip around like that, you're going to attempt to stop your rotation. And I doubt that feet spread is an approved posture for a static line tangle.
Definitely unconscious. His body went from a stable posture to spinning at the end of the line, and by the way his arms aren't ragdolled out, I would also guess that they were pinned to his torso by the static line he's tangled in.
The existing Corvette's PTM is the closest thing to magic there is. I have no doubt it will be just as good in the Z06. It will be able to use every bit of horsepower the LT4 makes.
Yep, I was just about to mention the MN12 T-bird as an example
One, what's a "higway"? Is that anything like a highway? Come on, Jalop - at least try to keep the horrible typos out of the headline.
American law enforcement officers have gone from being public servants, to apex predators. And just like you would do when encountering one in the wild, the best policy is to avoid interaction with apex predators whenever possible.
The rain issue is a showstopper, I think. It's bad enough in gullwing cars.
No. Vertical is NEVER appropriate for video. Not one time.
I have never wanted to find and punch someone as much as I did in the last two seconds of that video.
This is a perfect example of why HUMINT is so important. While the TEL might be very mobile, they are also bomb magnets, and because the missile itself is so very hard to defend against once it's been launched, potential enemies are VERY motivated to destroy them while they are still on the TEL. It's a destabilizing…
Oh man, I loved me some Sierra Online... Those were the days!
1977? That was Zaire. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_E…
It's one hell of a slippery slope you're on there, MC. It leads to never questioning "authority." Medical experts have been OK with a lot of horrible stuff in living memory... for instance: http://www.cdc.gov/tuskegee/timel…
I was talking about you, not the CDC. But you do bring up a good point. Who DID they consult? I know the planes passed through Customs, and I would guess that they had to have special permission in order to bring two very sick, highly infectious people into the US. Does the CDC just get to make that decision, and…
