I just got a CA divorce after almost 20 years and alimony for life is rare. Even if alimony happens it will be a bargaining chip in final negotiations over the house and retirement and everything else.

I was in a May-December relationship for almost thirty years...the younger one. All I can say is...ladies, make SURE your older man isn’t a covert narcissist before you commit. They <i>specifically</i> pick out way younger because they know the women their age would be onto their shit in five minutes.

I don’t understand why people constantly sing the praises of linen. It’s hot, scratchy and does nothing but wrinkle.

I am 47, and well into early menopause now. I have found that the single most important factor when it comes to at least not GAINING any more weight I don’t want is...not eating after 7pm. Seriously. Eat according to a real circadian rhythm and everything gets better and easier, including sleep.

Not mentioned: an active substance addiction on the part of one or both partners will make couples therapy difficult if not impossible.

The best technique my sister and I ever employed while raising our kids/teens was breathtakingly simple: whatever our parents did, do the opposite. It’s worked out fabulous. Our kids all love and trust us.

People will always find ways to game the system—always. Maybe you’d be less angryBob if you realized A) they are the exception, not the rule and B) not everything is about you.

I worked for a dermatologist for years. The amount of sun you’d have to get to get ANY measurable vitamin D benefit would be impractical and insane. For me personally it’s never made a difference in the slightest, and I don’t know why people still thinks it does. Take a supplement. I take 5000IU from Trader Joe’s…
