I think this just highlights a whole different set of criticisms for these hearings. That they consist of a team of interns writing questions for a Senator who then reads scripted talking points for the camera with the same intelligence as Anchorman.

I love how he mentions a bunch of glaring design and quality issues, including that he broke part of it the very first time he used it, but still compliments its “smart design” and “attention to detail.”  The truck doesn’t even have the “tent mode” the instructions say to activate!  I just don’t get the doublethink.

It could have been worse” is such a bad hill to die on because, no shit it could have been worse. It could have been a mobile game that sells you each day individually. It could have cost $700. There’s tons of ways it could be worse.

So the reality of grocery stores is that they have entire swaths of items called “vendor items”, which are brought in and put on the shelves by an outside company - the titular ‘vendor’ of the product.

Chances are those Walmart employees work harder every day than you have ever worked in your entire life.

I don’t think anyone would be complaining if this had been “Bill, Vendor at Mr Beast, Inc” coming down to help with candy bar stocking. I get that, you’re right that they’re there not just to help their products but to help employees. But when the near-billionaire CEO with ungodly internet power personally comes down

I’m a human being who has worked retail, any moment you’re there you’re some level of annoyed and especially so when some self-important dickhead shows up to fuck up whatever you were in the middle of.

Every single person he annoyed had something better to do than help him make more money.  Fuck this guy.

Well, I can see you have plenty of free time.

And once you can’t own your games anymore, the march of enshitification will ensure that you’ll get worse and worse while simultaneously costing more and more. See: literally every industry.

“Got comfortable” and “Begrudgingly accepted the lack of alternatives” are two very different things.

Making the most realistic video game adaptation of a D&D tabletop game is not a benefit.

You are warned. They make a fuss about Maruki leaving the school on a certain date, which is the only one that has a meaningful effect on the endings.

You do realize the fundamental flaw of this mindset, right? And it only becomes more flawed with each passing day.

Can we all finally agree that Snyder just isn’t a talented writer or director? At this point, Legend of the Guardians might be his best movie.

He makes movies that are fun to watch, and that’s it.

He makes movies that are fun to watch, and that’s it.

You have no soul.

It’s a major U.S. business. Maybe it’s not making steel or building computers, but it is a billion-dollar industry so when it takes part in prima facie fuckery, it should get at least some scrutiny.

I think the issue with HBO Max hurting the HBO brand was less that adding “Max” tainted the brand, and more that nobody knew the fucking difference between HBO Go and HBO Max and HBO was really vague about what the distinctions were. Originally if you had an HBO subscription, you ALSO had a streaming on-demand
