All of the hydrogen car developments are essentially a tax write off. Automakers will spend some cash each year on developing "environmentally friendly concepts" with no plans for widespread production and then say to the gov't "Okay, we did that. So we aren't paying taxes this year for sales in these markets... Okay

In my car the trunk is large enough that I can fit in there. I actually made a padded wooden insert that goes on the floor to smooth out the spare tire hump and make it more comfortable.

How well could it work as a mobile hotel room?

The visibility is fantastic, the steering is quite direct, and the positioning of the front wheels by your feet and the lack of any hood make the car feel more like a big prosthetic extention of your body than almost anything else I've been in. Driving around in it was surprisingly easy and fun.
