I was totally waiting for her to release Maxima! I couldn’t understand the point of introducing her and then not utilizing her in the end.

Why was Superman even in the finale? They mentioned at the beginning of the first ep of the two-parter that he was off-world. What was the point of bringing him back? He could have remained off-world for the whole story and have the same result.

I had LASIK (Intralase) done almost 12 years ago (at 32) and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I even have serious astigmatism in my left eye and even tho’ it didn’t turn out as sharp as my right, still worth it. My vision has shifted with age (they warned me 40 would be a gamechanger) but luckily I’m still

Yeeeeah, brother!

The Lois Lane comics had the best/worst covers!

Anyone else thinking of Flash Gordon?

Thanks for the heads up! Ordered, and maybe I’ll finally get around to labeling all those cables clustered around my desk.

I loved the original Sliders under Tormé. The show was just painful after he and John Rhys Davies left. The original premise of historical what-ifs was fun and fascinating. The joy got sucked out when Kari Wurher was added and the whole last half of season three became painful ‘homages’ to popular movies.

Not that I want to remember, but Cathy Lee Crosby needs to be on that Wonder Woman list.

The AMC near us is a Dine-In. The ticket prices are actually more expensive than another AMC a few miles away, and the food is subpar. While the Cinema Suites are nice (large, cushy recliners) over the Fork & Screens (regular seats with smaller tables) it’s rarely worth the price (weeknight evening admission is

Can we please bring back John Rhys Davies? I loved Sallah!

Al Gore...all these years later and it still hurts my heart.

I wouldn’t classify the pro-argument as a ‘convenience’—if this wiped out malaria that’s a disease that infects and potentially kills 207 million people per year, and now there’s Zika.

From what I remember from the discussion, if they decided to move forward they’d put enough of the population ‘on ice’ so they could bring back the species if some detriment to the natural cycle was discovered. That’s what makes this so intriguing.

The hypothesis is genetically modifying males that only produce male offspring. They’d destroy the population in a couple of generations.

My husband was telling me about the possibility of obliterating mosquitoes as a whole and the debate as to whether or not it should be done.

The kerning on these numbers is hideous! If they’re gonna complain about anything, start with that.

Aw - I liked that movie. It was a rare fish in that the ‘villain’ was actually making things better without harming anyone. If had had been a better communicator the story could have gone a whole different way.
