There are other places in Texas that are pretty darn blue. Harris county in which Houston resides is pretty darn blue. The Corpus Christie area is also pretty blue. We are getting there, but LOTS of work to do still.

Yah, not every nerd has great social skills, but the vast majority of people were friendly and helpful.

I am a Deputy voter registrar in Texas and it is a bitch to get people registered with the restrictions. Also, in my area that is darn purple it was only at the local Republican office that offered the training class. It won’t just be Roberts. I don’t really see any of the conservative justices going for this other than Kavanaugh, not even Gorsuch. Gorsuch is a Federalist Society guy not really a Trump guy. The problem is that he thinks “that’s in the past” and that because he has black friends or treated black patients, that he is absolved from racism.

I know with my own grandma, she had to legally chance her name in her 40s because she wanted a passport, and the name she thought was hers was different then what was on her birth certificate, and I can trace her back to the plantations in the South where her ancestors were born.

I know of a white dude from the UK that overstayed his visa for 30 years. He still traveled internationally all the time and lived in the US. The worst offenders that I personally know (not people who know people that I know but people I actually know) are from Canada and the UK.

He got a run for his money in 2018., However,  it is another district gerrymandered to favor the “R’s”. I work in his district some and he would have lost that seat if he was pro-wall.

Now I can only be in relationships with men who are actual partners and not men who expect their girlfriends to be pseudo-mothers.

This is one of the reasons why I am divorced. I had all of this on top of a small business and I couldn’t “manage/train”* a husband. If I was going to do it all, then why are you here. I just couldn’t and I was becoming bitter and mean.

It really is distressing. As a child of the seventies, everything seemed to be positively turning towards environmental consciousness, greater racial justice and gender equality. Idealistic children’s programming, solar panels, increased consciousness of life for those on the margins.

Because this country has set things up in a way that for many of those who struggle with deep poverty (which disproportionately affects trans folks), military service can be one of the only ways to get education, health care, job skills, housing, etc.

Also, I’m pretty sure the League of Jesuses (Black Jesus, White Jesus, Baby Jesus, In-utero Virgin Mary Jesus, Southern MAGA Jaysis, Actual Jesus,I don’t actually exist Athiest Jesus, etc)
