I was able to leave a government job with benefits and go private practice and make twice as much money (thus, more taxes), thanks to the ACA.

It’s a double-edged sword: on the one hand, it creates an American aristocracy, but on the other hand, it creates experienced lawmakers. Term limits may not be in the bag, but something needs to be done to address the current Congressional legislative stagnation (both functionally and ideologically).
