Oh you’re just not in the right part of Texas. I live in Montgomery County and it’s a wasteland.

I would be down for a Tammy Duckworth/Kamala Harris ticket. I don’t even care which one is Pres or VP. I think the fact that if not one but two WOC were running against him would cause his head to explode. There would be no way in hell he couldn’t keep himself from using racial slurs every time he talked about either…
I live in Houston, too. Lots of the family and friends work with or in energy including myself. One lady at my sister’s job stated, “Well I guess the economy will pick up in the energy field. Too bad we won’t be able to enjoy it since we won’t have clean water to drink or clean air to breathe.”
Not to mention a much smaller social security pension in the future. Even if she stays married to her husband, if he dies, she is only able to collect half of his benefit or else her own, which would be much smaller owing to the gaps in earning.
I think an employee having a baby has to do with us because we are part of society and employers. I’m an employer (admitted a very, very small one, I only have 2 employees). Both of my employees are women. One is past childbearing, but the other isn’t. I don’t know if she plans on having more children or not. I will…
It’s become discouraging and I feel taken advantage of. It’s a little unfair to say that companies owe it to their employees - it’s a benefit. I’d have no issue for a longstanding employee but this has been a costly road.
Make it 6 weeks paid leave for either gender of parent. Either to be split or 6 weeks apiece. Now you have almost leveled the playing field. I mean, dude still has several other inherent advantages due to his gender, but at least you haven’t egregiously bumped him further up the ladder by virtue of his dick.
That is exactly how I got hit in the only accident I’ve been in. Two left turn lanes. The inside one is turn only. The other turns or goes straight. Someone went straight from the inside lane.
I always give my wife the option to sleep on the couch if she is so mad... that usually ends it.
I’m from the Midwest and there was porn in my grade school.
In my opinion, if you grouped the areas by population, they should be traditional geometric shapes mostly squares, rhombuses and parallelograms. They are dipping and dodging to keep the population for each district at just under 700K people while diluting and packing liberal and minority vote.
Ahh.. I see the template from which my district came. They deliberately diluted the liberal vote. Of course, it doesn’t matter if they run un-fucking opposed.
I feel like people in general would be more empathetic as a whole if everyone had to work a minimum of a year in food/customer service. Jesus, the shit you have to put up with...
One of the administrative assistants where I work said she voted for Trump because “a woman can’t handle that kind of authority, it’d be too much”.
Lots of hot, muscley men doing over the top action with lots of beautiful fast cars. It is pure escapism for me. I watch the movies, drool over the cars, drool more over the men and shake my head at the unbelievable stunts.
I’m going to look both of these people up. Thanks!
Me on a conference call when someone suddenly says my name and asks for my thoughts after 45 minutes of doing anything else but listening.
I live in an area that would probably flip/flop between Ds and Rs if it wasn’t gerrymandered to hell and back. They deliberately moved my area that is a solid purple to dilute the purple-ish with some Redder than Reds over 35 miles away. We need to fight them on the gerrymandering because this is ridiculous.
The Democratic Party needs to get is collective head out of its collective ass, and put their people on the ground in these places. Run candidates (even if they lose), create organizations, serve effing pancakes on Saturday morning and run Dem Bingo games on Wednesday nights. All the time teaching a better way.
