A few I’d add here:
I’m not so sure it’s apathy so much as it is denial. People don’t want to admit that the people they know may be bad people.
I was baffled by that too, living in Seattle. Like...100% of everyone here wears a hoodie or a hooded jacket when it is raining which is like all the time.
An ex-girlfriend of mine swore by the thong panties for the exact same reason, she encouraged me to try “going commando” to try to experience the same freedom during the summer (the male version of a thong is rather...restrictive). I’m not so sure I agree with her on the “freedom” part; while it was nice to not have…
Wait what? This is supposed to be the frontrunners right? I’ve never heard of this lady before.
To be fair, this was against Orlando City and they’re a dumpster fire.
My original comment also applies to the US.
i’m shocked that a wealthy man from a country where the majority of men view women as property would treat a woman like this. Absolutely shocked.
Evangelion is, I think, a difficult anime to like in the sense of enjoyment. I said this on another thread, but while I think Evangelion is vastly important and influential...it’s also not an anime I really have any desire to watch again.
Even better than all of that? Stay out of the woods.
As a nerd who is ashamed to know this, I would point out that the age difference between Padme and Anakin in the Phantom Menace isn’t that big. Anakin is 9 and Padme is 14. Problem is that the actress, Natalie Portman, was 18 at the time and the actor, Jake Lloyd, was 9. So it seems odd, but in canon it makes sense. …
Exactly. Evangelion is a meandering, slog of pointless dialogue and dead end plot points intermixed with a few interesting mech fights. The ending makes very little sense and the entire time you just want to slap the s*** out of the main character. At the same time, it’s an interesting and important view into…
Against Rebanador de Bolas you are really more concerned about something in the front.
Didn’t notice the kid was latino, but I guess if you prefer he could work for the mafia and be called Decespugliatore.
It’s funny now, but wait until that kid starts throwing axes working for the cartels as an assassin and becomes known as “Rebanador de Bolas”.
I seem to recall there was some licensed music in the game, I’m guessing they didn’t want to keep paying for the licenses anymore.
I agree. Change the rules if it’s now impossible for keepers to save a well-taken penalty kick (which it basically is).
Except it’s not encroachment until their actions actually matter; much like how with offsides you can stand offsides all day if you want, it’s not until you touch the ball that a call is made. If the keeper had stepped off her line and the shot went in, chances are good nothing would have been done.
