I like the old man at the end of time (AKA. Gaspar) in Chrono Trigger. Something about his attitude in face of his predicament makes him feel like a special character. Also, the scenery and soundtrack help.

Also, it looks like poop with limbs.

I really didn’t want to be mean to the guy, and he does do a couple cool tricks, but 1:08, I cracked up a little at “DIET” bottle.

A game I felt really stressed about playing was ZombiU. The setting, music, and graphics definitely contributed to the feeling, but the main factor was definitely the permadeath and associated loss of items. Never was able to finish this, despite denuinely liking the game.

What, maybe his mom was a Tolkien fan..? They do publish LoTR in Spain, you know. =b

Awesome! Love the Chrono Trigger theme.

Massa, Raul! O tema de Chrono Trigger é sensacional.

Took me a couple seconds to register just where I’d seen that style before.

I really do like the look, btw.

Kurzgesagt, is that you?

I wouldn’t be so hopeful.

The graphics, the sound effects, the slight pause when you get that big hit.. Nnnng so good!

Well, in my opinion, it does. SS4 has a stronger art direction and looks more vibrant, whereas this looks a bit dull an plasticky..

Eh. I don’t have, or care for, the Xbox, either. I'm a PC and Switch owner.

As someone who absolutely sucks in fighting games, this one was one of my favorite series as a kid, mostly for the characters and the crunchy sword-based gameplay.

Would be interesting to see the geographic distribution of the OMG NIPPELS COVER YER EYZ tweets. As the author says, it’s a non-issue in Japan, and even for me, as a non-US westerner male, I barely even notice male nipples exist, and never gave Mario’s a second (or even first) thought before I read about them on

So, it’s finally broken its bindings to Earth, it seems.

Holy goosebumps, batman!

Oh, wow, that trailer is bad.

“EXCITEMENT”
says the screen. followed by a couple static images. followed by a character plodding along listlessly across a drab, drab room.

“intriguing characters” “dramatic story”
Says the last screen, trying a bit too hard to be a corporate powerpoint presentation.

The game does look...

I really like how this looks. A stylistic mix of early vector-based arcade games (eg Asteroids) , and a bit of Out of this World brings all kinds of good nostalgia. Will keep an eye on it.

“Behold, a button that just makes all your Joy Con vibrate”

Oh, I’m sure some people will have found, um... less than “silly”, uses for that button at this point in time.
