Cool! I haven’t been that much into gamer culture for a while now, so I was surprised to see friends using that word. It’s interesting to know it’s so widespread (going at least as far as Brazil, Argentina and Portugal).

I’ve heard people who play both PS and XBone using the term interchangeably for both consoles. Maybe it’s more common among the people I know? I don’t own either, btw (Nintendo + PC gamer, here)

To be fair, these all seem to have in common, other than the stick-shape, the fact that they are... FRIED!

Fried? Fries? Do you fry your fries? Do you like your fries fried?

Sure it may go against a certain cultural use of language, but it’s not as huge a leap of logic as the article seems to make it, tbh.

Also, a new word being thrown around in Brazil is “platinar”, meaning to finish a game 100%, derived from “platinum” status, as in, getting all trophies in the current officially-sanctioned-achievement-centered age.

Loved this as a kid. One of the main sources for my appreciation of the art deck aesthetics, that carried into my adult life as an architect (the other being the batman animated series).

Funny thing is, I would probably pass it at this point, given all the bug reports and the added controversy. That said, I backed it on kickstarter way back when, before the controversy even existed, and on the promise of an indie RPG with deep systems.

The weapons and the kick are nice and all, but it the one-liners and the crazy movement speed that make this really look like Duke3d

That Facebook is participating through a video game in a political action conference of any kind is bizarre enough. The rest of the absurdity in mentioned in the article is proof that people gave completely lost touch with reality.

About as much as one would expect from a Metroidvania while exploring, plus some extra due to a lot of dying... *however*, the movement makes traversing screens really quick. I kid you not when I say you can zip through certain screens in about a second or two, if you’re not fighting enemies or exploring nooks and

So, after spending some time with the initial area and going out to work, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Played all through the night and finished it (11 hours, 99% exploration, can’t figure out where that alst percent would be).

Just got it this afternoon and played to pretty much the same point that appears in the review video.

I would hate to bump or run over one of those, so... I guess it works on that level, tho?

The header image is... Distinctly phallic, tho. In fact, many of them are. Heck, I was half expecting to see a female aid household object turned into Federation Ship SS Penetrator.

But is there a ‘doh count for The Simpsons?

Yea, that’s what I meant... Explained in a lot more detail. Cut out the manufacturer, the IdeaCentre brand (which is inoffensive enough a name) and the model number, and it’s basically called “Cube”. Which is.. Fine? Not very inventive, maybe, but fine.

Me, I’m holding back on buying rereleases. I got mk8 deluxe for the balloon battle mode, and for the physical version (I only had digital mk8 on switch). Pokken tournament and Bayonetta are two games I will most likely not be double-dipping on, tho. That said, I still have my wii u connected to the TV and can play

To be fair, I think the English one looks rather terrible. The big four letter word messes with the sw logo typographical proportions and ends up looking dumb, imo.

funny enough, I came into botw after playing a bit of splatoon, and found myself missing the motion controls for regular looking around. Got used to it after a while, tho.

I enjoy and recommend this review.
