Burgers are fine well-done and will still be tender/juicy. Also, well-done for any ground meat is the minimum to kill off pathogens.

For steaks and non-ground beef cuts med rare is fine but for ground beef you have to cook it to well done to kill off any pathogens. Also, anyone who says a well-done burger is tough is lying and never had a well done burger.
