My point wasn't that I'm upset that people don't have 100% altruistic motivations. Whatever their motivations may be, if it helps people out, that's great. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Whoa whoa whoa... let's not get crazy here. Clock stopping after a first down?
Regardless of what most people think, I really believe that the THON insanity is unrelated to the Sandusky scandal. I think a lot of it still has this whole bragging feel to it, which many proud students can do at times, so I guess that's not entirely unexpected. Still, it just seems a little off cuz you shouldn't do…
I think the OP alluded to your point about who cares what people's motivations are as long as it causes good. I think anyone with a sane mind will agree with that. THON's an amazing thing in that regard.
I wouldn't call it survivor's guilt, but I wonder if she ever thinks that and says to herself, "If I had just dumped him over the phone instead of wanting to do it in person... Mr Chow Chows would still be here!"
Holy shit... I'm not the only PSU alum that has this thought?!
That guy should've been taken down by the Air Marshal
I'm giving you a star just for "I was in Taco Bell on Valentine's day because I'm a winner". Sounds like you need it.
Ahhhh!!!!! I was just talking to my friend about this the other day, specifically about Candy Crush on the bus. I don't understand these people! Is the audio so necessary to your enjoyment of that stupid game that you can't just lower the volume if you don't have head phones?
I sorta agree with you. There are definitely some cheeses that can make or break a dish, but I think the use of cheeses is, in general, excessive. Also, unless it's something crucial to the dish, like a cheese sandwich, cheese steak, etc.
I don't get it either. I think this is more tailored to getting new / more casual fans to the game. Most people who are baseball fans already, I believe, are used to the length of the game and don't really mind. If I'm at a game, I'm going there to relax on a nice summer day, grab a beer and a hot dog, and hopefully…
Yeah. I thought the movie sucked, although I guess it kept me somewhat entertained for part of an afternoon, but at least it was somewhat original. Original in that it was different than 99.9% of movies out there. Not original in the fact that I felt like I watched someone play a video game with really good graphics.
Not that I know of. Maybe that's one of the apparitions I've been speaking of. Haunting all of our Kinja accounts...
It gets worse if I'm drunk and yeah, I've had freaky stuff like that happen. Luckily this is the only time I've broken something.
Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night, I see things that aren't there. It's usually small things like seeing a shadow and thinking it's something it's not. Kinda like sleep walking, but I remember what's going on later on usually and if I turn on the lights, everything turns normal.
Nina Hartley doesn't have any kids.
Why do I know this off the top of my head? [walks away in shame]
I'm pretty sure there is a sign before that point in the path where they aren't supposed to go past, so it's even worse that they're clogging up the path at that point cuz they're not even supposed to be down there.
And all three videos sent in were recorded in landscape! Now I've seen it all!
THANK YOU! I started reading that and immediately thought "find a source of water and a bucket... problem solved".
Well, they did show him in an air cast being taking to the locker room, so you figured he at least had some major arm injury.
