Portal 2 lost the subtlety of Portal 1's story telling and humor. It also had a bad case of the "you must solve the puzzle our way"s. Tons of dark un-portal-able surfaces.

Overt randomness for the sake of comedy. I call it reddit comedy because that's exactly what reddits sense of humor is. It's hamfisted writing that's only good for people who don't appreciate what it takes to write real comedy.

You aren't being "that guy". Two Girls One Cup (of) Noodles was not subtle, and the reference has been overdone in a variety of internet jokes and memes for the last few years. "Shop a cup into a hilarious photo." It's only obvious what joke to make.

If the winner was chosen based on community votes—shame on the community.

Owen, if you chose the winner by hand—I must ask, why?

There are many, many entries in the "finalist" pool that are infinitely more clever, witty, and appropriately referential than the "winning" post was.

I hereby pledge to not play Candy Crush or any games King.com may release in the future.

If only the other person had a gun. Then this would have turned into homicide.

I remember VO series as being one on one free roaming fighting. If you're talking about Mech fighting with more than one mech MOBA style, I think Gundam would be more appropriate. Or maybe Robotech would be more interesting....though I'd doubt someone would do a MOBA like that justice...

If I made games for a living, relying upon the sales of my unique idea to pay the bills, and looked at this site, I would probably cry myself to death.

1. BUT WHY DOESN'T SHE JUST MAKE HER OWN GAME?

Sometimes we must become what we hate most in order to throw soybeans at the Japanese.

I believe that line of thinking warrants some introspection as well though. If you're having to be "pulled away from a game for sex" I'd ask if you're spending too much time with your hobby and ignoring your SO. Is it the hobby the SO doesn't respect? Or at they resentful of the fact that you put the hobby before

As much as Japanese companies seem clueless to much of the modern media when it comes to Youtube showing their videos and claiming them, you got to hold such respect that the men at top are willing to cut THEIR pay for failures on their part, rather then just fires dozens below them that were simply following their

While the points that you make are all reasonable, I don't think that you've made the case that these details are as important as all that. Should these tech details be discussed on the periphery of video game discussion? Yes. Certainly. But the emphasis is totally backwards right now. Gameplay and theory should
