This takes me back to the late 2000’s when my friend’s (a girl) mother drove a 6-spd ruby red AM V8. One night we took that car out and burned through half a tank of fuel, the car sounded amazing. Surprisingly it didn’t feel all that quick but still not a bad ride for a Mom!

They have all their pluses and minuses, I literally enjoy aspects of all of them and if I were Jay Leno I would have all of them lined up together. I have owned an E36 M3 Sedan and drive the F80 M3 currently, and have driven the E30 and E46 plenty. Not all that familiar with the E90 but the S65 sounds amazing.

Peak horsepower isn’t until 6500 rpms in that engine so you have to be comfortable with really letting it scream.

I really enjoyed that engine but you had to wind it way up to feel the power, peak HP didn’t hit until 6500 RPM.

We agree on the worst drive of the year haha.

Same experience I had which led me to buy a 997 Carrera S (which I no longer have), maybe my example wasn’t running well but it didn’t even feel all that quick.

Best: My buddy’s Cayman GTS in terms of handling, wow! In terms of overall package and power, probably my new M3. Surprise car was the Tesla, so relaxing and serene to drive. Didn’t get a chance to drive any exotics in 2015 thus the more pedestrian list.

Interesting, I’ve had a 2016 528i as a loaner car the last week as my 2015 M3 is in for service. I’ve found it really pleasant to drive day to day, surprisingly quick for a turbo 4 cylinder and overall a tranquil experience. Feels like a modern E39.

It does work though, I am in marketing but similar concept. When I have a lower level prospect on the phone who wants to grind hard on the price, I will sometimes use the line “If I can get my Director to approve this discount, would you begin today?” When they are on hold for 2 minutes I am usually getting a glass of

This takes me back, my Dad had a demo `96 S281 5-spd in Red for a year. As a kid, I loved the car, now I feel they are a bit cheesy looking but good memories and they sounded great with the Borla exhaust.

Since it’s a custom plate you can choose the lettering. Mine says S55 B30 as that’s the engine I have in my car.

Navistar has had its share of issues, the last CEO came under fire for lots of poor decisions. For instance if you buy an International 4300 the standard engine is a Cummins now. Their internal DT446E/MaxxforceDT can’t meet emission standards.

Relatively harmless? Surprised there wasn’t a huge accident, if you ever have been on a freeway that come to an immediate stop you will know how dangerous that situation can be.

The S55 in the M3 is very underrated also, most people dyno 405-415 hp, so in reality the car is producing ~470hp. Owning one it definitley feels faster than the quoted numbers, which explains why they are trapping 118-119 mph in the 1/4 mile.

I drive past this everyday to work, it’s interesting...I will be curious to see how it ages.

For some people it may be a snob appeal choice but speaking for two people I know that own a 320i, one is a friend and one is my mother. The F30 is a F30, it’s not like anything is radically changed between a 320i and 328i,they drive identical short of the power difference.

For someone like my mother who likes how she fits in a 3-series (6ft) and the overall driving experience but will never have the pedal to the floor demanding better acceleration. 0-60 in 7.0 is plenty adequate for the average driver, especially with the zippy low end power of a turbo engine and 8-speeds to stay in the

Hertz is running their cars up to 50-60k miles now so 2-3 years of age, those are considered “risk” cars, the turnback/program cars are returned before 30k miles. With that being said, I have driven plenty of new Panthers back when my family owned a Budget car rental franchise and we also rented out the Avis/Budget

More like I have strict requirements of what I like. RWD, manual, and a good balance of sportiness and DD ability. That limits me to only a handful of options in the end.

Pacific BMW in Glendale (which I bought my M3 from and my mother’s 320i, smooth transactions) organizes their roof lot based on car payments. E.g. Green section is $400-450 car payment
