It's eerie how much of that i can recognize from my last 7 years of treatment: The preconceived ideas people have about schizophrenia, the hellish swings between utter dread and quirky thoughts, the battle one has to go through in every step, the cataloging and avoidance of stressors, and the final acceptance needed

Of course a show about Viking would be "bonkers violent". Of all the ancient peoples, Vikings were by far the most violent of all, which is the whole reason they were attacked so rarely and why byzantine emperors loved hiring them as bodyguards.

Ok, it seems like the real problem here is that we've been talking past, so allow me to start over.

Wow. Either you got out on the wrong side of bed or you're one of the most unpleasant teachers I've ever met.

I must admit is copy-pasted it from a fan project about translating the curse words of Firefly, but according to translation they would be:

Sure, Dane can be referred to as the Danish, since all languages evolve and change. But this is the lazy way of referring to a nation's population by their language and quite a few nations take offense by this, unlike Danes. ^^

I'm a Dane and i have no idea of what wheel house you're referring to. The last proper Danish sci-fi's we had was with a Lovecraftian monster movie and one about earth colliding with a planet (so 2 sister have 2 spend the time talking about their problems).

Thank you on behalf of little Denmark. ^^

Danish is our language and Dane is our nationality. ^^

Shun-SHENG duh gao-WAHN Whedon, you Da-shiang bao-tza shr duh lah doo-tze for getting my hopes up! ^^

This is kinda a non-issue (in regards to being Gibsonian or Cloud Atlas-ish weirdness), as she shaved her own head as an apology (her choice) and almost the total sum of her fans is enraged that had to go that far.

But we would all read those adds, as they'd likely be as in-universe as the magazine. ^^

I'm surprised she doesn't have a Darwin Award of some kind. ^^

I believe you accidentally spelled your name wrong. It's says "Esther", but it's actually spelled G-L-a-D-O-S: GLaDOS. ^^ Regardless, will you do me a great honor and marry me? Because THIS is how my perfect woman thinks about science.

I did that on my own by self-learning to be objective, at the age of 15. And i didn't even need to pretend I'm advising a friend.

Curiously enough, people rationalized their phobia after they realize they have it. It's one of the most widely used coping methods of the human mind. ^^

You're very welcome. ^^

You've just explained half (at best) of all written historical records since the dawn of writing.

Unfortunately, his theory is wrong, as this has zero relation to 42. ^_^

Those are very different kinds of fears. One is a legitimate possibility of bodily harm, while the other is a phobia (which by defined is an non-voluntary irrational fear response to non-deadly situations).
