Nah, it is just a bad game. A lot of us just see that, since we literally suffered through the game.
Turn based isn’t even the problem. The combat is too simplistic and doesn’t feel good. Part of that is animations, items, equipment, skills/spells (or lack thereof).

I don’t know about this. I really doubt intimacy coordinators can really stop a bear from doing what it wants if it decides to go off script.

It's exactly like that from start to finish. Believe me, it does not get better. I love action combat final fantasy. But this is their worst attempt at it full stop. I think people are in genuine denial about this game. I really do. There's no way.
