Ugh. A disappointing cliffhanger that only exists because the show was canceled. I refuse to believe that they would have gone that route if there had been enough time and money to film literally any other ending.
This whole movie counts as this. They wrote the opening scene and from then on it was a scramble with each scene recreating the problem of not knowing how to write their way out of the newest mess. Eventually they realized they had a enough crap to fill a feature length film and stopped.
I'm still really sad that the deadline for a real mytharc movie has come and gone to be able to coincide with the actual date of the alien invasion :(
