Recorded the first few episodes, never watched a second of it. I see it's been cancelled so I probably didn't miss much.

I'm amazed how little evidence we have, at least publicly, about the people behind the hacking at this point.

I've heard the word terrorism linked to the other hacked images, and I was doubtful of the linking because the intent of the hacks and distribution didn't seem to be to make anyone change their behavior.

I'm reminded of a phrase, apparently from the X-Files (thanks Google): "A lie is most convincingly hidden between two truths."

You're probably not wrong. They aren't the only media publication to seemingly have amnesia about previous stances on privacy and sex. I'm talking about you Daily Mail and Huffington Post UK.

I see Gawker is giving directions on how to find the images on Reddit.

I don't know if one has been issued, but I (and others, judging by the recommendations the posts got) demanded a clarification of Gawker's past and future policy in regards to private images, sexual or otherwise.

It will be fascinating to see how it works out in the long term and in practice.

...until our society stops treating the female body as inherently more sexual than the male, people are going to keep doing this.

The only publication that I've seen handle it differently is the Daily Mail. One of its female columnists, who's married to a prominent MP, declared the images revealed the vanity of the women.

How come "smart phones" automatically upload crap to the cloud, but don't have built-in reminders to alert me I've missed texts and calls? My old "dumb" phone had that built in.

I'm curious as to exactly when and why the shift occurred. I mean you could just say media outlets are more aware of the issues involved, moral and criminal, but how did this awareness come about in the past year or so? I say year because wasn't Gawker boasting about a sex tape they refused to take down then?

One additional bonus for Buffy is that seasons were largely self contained. If the show had been cancelled at any point before it's season 7 conclusion, there would have been no unanswered mysteries and no villains left.

Lexx always felt like it was being made up as they went along, and yet from what I remember, had very few inconsistencies. That's probably because they never really lingered much on any subject nor built up that much of a mythology.

Me too. Unless the video is titled with her name or a very specific set of details, the chances of finding a video of herself by accident must be extremely small. Alternatively it was an extremely popular video, either in viewing numbers or copies, or someone else tipped her off as to its existence.

Good idea.

Considering that most porn on the internet is violating copyright law that could actually remove most of it.

The guy's an ass for what he did, but isn't the judging him on his looks out of sync with feminism?

Asking for consent is giving consent.

I can't tell you how many men, when we're alone and in the course of kissing and heavy petting, have gently pulled my hand towards their crotch. Yes, that's consent on their part to be touched there. I enthusiastically comply, or I pull back (at which point someone who isn't an asshole will immediately release
