You're right, it should read as "doesn't tally," and "employment of those who at the lower end of the wage scale" should read as "employment of those who work at the lower end of the wage scale."

I don't think it is as simple as that. There are of course issues with the welfare of the women (and men) involved, what effect it has on those who watch it and what effect it has on society has a whole. There is a clash of opinions from those who want it prohibited outright and those who would prefer regulation

The cat will usually find a way to punish the owner if they aren't on alert.

When they seriously start using animals as comparatives to humans you know things are getting bad.

This swings on the word 'better' in the 'better alternative,' part as that is the part that implies that the porn is a lesser alternative rather than an equal alternative. Some might agree with the former but it does tally with Grey's previous statements.

Sex in toilets? Ugh and not to mention illegal.

It's like a lot of things related to sexual matters I suppose. Other than when somebody is being forced to do something by someone else or by particular circumstances, finding a universal feminist opinion can be hard to find. In the case of BDSM I do find it odd from my casual readings how strongly it provokes

I've become very sceptical about the Arab Spring revolutionary governments too. I know it has only been a short time since they were elected but I'm not convinced they have the best interests of women, homosexuals, people who live a fairly liberal lifestyle or express opinions the even remotely contradict Islamic

While on the subject of BDSM I was surprised how controversial it is within feminist circles.

The military is of course a terrible thing to have control of a country, I am not entirely convinced that the elected officials will actually be that much better given some of the comments and actions of their associates, such as attacking women in salons or proposing making the hijab mandatory in public.

I wonder what percentage of all humans that are living or have ever lived, treat(ed) most of their sex life as something other than a form of entertainment.

Wow, that's one sad looking kid. Well in fairness I'd probably feel the same being Bachmann's vicinity.

Ha ha ha , what a story Mark.

I suppose it goes against the expectation that women are to be covered up in the public and the media in Iran, especially by law. By doing the polar opposite it can be seen as quite a challenge to authority (of course some may have different interpretations).

I'd love to snope around Republican offices, particularly the emails and internet searches.

There is of course the aborting of female foetuses. Perhaps in someways the greatest issue China will face as a society in coming years. The greater south-east Asia region as a whole will probably be effected, particularly for the women there, as the demand for foreign women to make up the short fall will likely sky

There was a obscenity trial in the UK recently that resulted in a not guilty verdict.

Doubtful. I think some parents only have children to live their own dreams/desires through them, be it beauty pageants, playing sports, a music career etc.

I wonder if in the distant future women will have to produce ID (to prove their age) to buy a pair of high heeled shoes.

The prostitution (when not involving kids) is something I am particularly undecided on. The complexities of how much a person has a real choice over whether to become a prostitute or not given their past history, social standing, the way society is constructed etc. can be a lengthy discussion in itself.
