I left probably one of the best jobs of my life due to a manager. It was the only one that offered medical insurance and other benefits, was close to home (I now commute 100 miles a day) with the potential for a long-term career at Stanford and I gave it up to get away from her. In the end it just wasn't worth it. She

Oh boy, now here's a topic I've been looking a lot at recently... would be nice to hear some replies on this if folks have their own ideas to share.

Excedrin is good for just about any headache, though you may have to take 3-4 pills depending on severity to get results. It's a combination of aspirin, acetaminophen and caffeine. It's also OK on hangovers, although alka-seltzer with a ton of water is better in those cases.

I've used the same scrolling matrix code live wallpaper since before there were live wallpapers on my Nokia E-70.

COMPLETELY unrealistic since the pay for a young person just entering the workforce is so incredibly low that it often takes 80+ hours a week just to pay the rent and keep yourself fed and clothed. Most often you see young adults working 2 32-hour-part-time jobs to make ends meet, and speaking as someone who was until

I tried it out briefly and thought it looked nice, but quickly found that I had to keep rotating my phone or trying to read sideways every time I wanted to switch between reading and composing tweets, because it didn't support reading in landscape mode. This is frankly unacceptable and renders it unusable to me as

Personally I wash my hands and then apply a soft hydrophilic (anti-fog) wax cream to my lenses with my fingers, let it dry a bit, then buff it out with either a microfiber cloth or a cotton polishing cloth. The stuff works amazingly well to clean all of the dust, oil and grime off the lenses, and helps fills in the

The main reason you need to be careful cleaning eyeglass lenses isn't the fear of scratching the lens itself. Even glass lenses are pretty tough and scratch-resistant. The problem is the special coatings that are applies to the outer layer of the lens: polarizing, anti-UV and anti-glare coatings are common, and the

You'll still probably have better luck with the cabs than the cops in finding a stolen vehicle just about anywhere. Your odds are going to be slim either way, but where there are few cabs, there are fewer cops, and the cops really don't care about reclaiming your car.

Don't forget the sound of the gun's action, often louder than the report when using a suppressor.

Well played sir.

I got suspended from school once for disobeying the teacher's instructions to tilt my head back during a bad nosebleed. My parents never let me do it right again after that. True story.

Excuse the shoddy photos—cellphone camera. One workbench is behind the bikes on the right side of the garage coming in, though it's seldom a problem since one or more bikes are usually pulled out into the open work area on the other side when we need to use it. We also have a mini 'barn' alongside the house where

It works in XP also.

I tried them back around 2006 I think. I was never real impressed with the wallpapers or art style.

The 'simple' method is to manually resize the image to the perfect resolution for your setup, then use the 'tile' feature in Windows for setting the wallpaper. It will appear across all monitors.

+1 Request for triple-monitor wallpaper post. 3 monitors is becoming more common, so it's surprising to me that I haven't really found dedicated wallpapers in appropriate sizes. I run 3x 1920x1200 and have generally had to resort to downloading huge astrophotography images and cropping and sizing them manually.

Not to mention you have 400%+ more usable screen space while typing.
