I tried them back around 2006 I think. I was never real impressed with the wallpapers or art style.
The 'simple' method is to manually resize the image to the perfect resolution for your setup, then use the 'tile' feature in Windows for setting the wallpaper. It will appear across all monitors.
+1 Request for triple-monitor wallpaper post. 3 monitors is becoming more common, so it's surprising to me that I haven't really found dedicated wallpapers in appropriate sizes. I run 3x 1920x1200 and have generally had to resort to downloading huge astrophotography images and cropping and sizing them manually.
Not to mention you have 400%+ more usable screen space while typing.
Damn, I wish I had found that phone when I was looking to replace my G1! I ended up with a G2, which shifted the bottom row and generally rearranged keys so it was impossible to type on without un-learning years of touch typing on a proper qwerty keyboard. It was so bad I returned the G2 for an Evo and Hacker's…
If you can swing it, get a phone with a legitimate hardware qwerty keyboard. If you're a touch typist on a PC, this is the best option since a hardware keyboard provides tactile feedback, and *if the buttons are in a correct, 101-key-like qwerty arrangement*, your brain easily translates the spacial memory of where…
Over a year later and still no root for HTC Evo 3D. Damn shame. Too bad I'm still locked into the contract for another year and can't get a phone that works and isn't loaded down with all the HTC and Sprint crap.
I'll be impressed when I see someone manage to do this to eat the same food as it stored in said box, without using a transitory container to hold it while unfolding it into a plate.
Using NOAA's data? Please, it's not a localized micro-climate forecast without wunderground. From the title I was expecting something impressive that aggregates local weather monitoring stations or something. This is just Yet Another Weather App claiming to be special despite running off the same data as everyone else.
Lifehacker recommends signing up for spam emails and coupon BHOs? now I really have seen everything.
You know if resetting your router is really becoming such a hassle that hacking your router to make the reset button more accessible is viable, you're probably better off just replacing the router and getting something more reliable.
Best solution: don't have a facebook account.
Looking at the Hola website and FAQ some of their claims are dubious, but it appears to be a strictly peer-to-peer proxy system, similar to TOR but only for traffic to supported media sites. If this is accurate it would be difficult for sites to identify and block all of the potential nodes traffic would be coming…
Does using as an alternative to speaker cables count, or is that too cliche? (Yes, I took the wrong lesson from that monster cable face-off )
Windows explorer wasn't bad, especially the Win 2000 variation. 7 is pretty nice, too, excepting one thing: I want my bloody up-a-directory functionality back.
What's a book?
Best lubricant for zippers is teflon-based lube. You can find it in some lock and chain/sprocket lubricants. Read the label. Alternatively if it's a waterproof garment, use a waterproofing wax on it: leather or textile-specific waterproofing wash for hand-wash fabrics, or parafin-based heat-cured waterproofing spray…
