Yet the difference between these versions is pink mist, and I agree, the silence is weirder. It really just makes them look sad and silly for bothering with this restriction at all if they still allow the game to be released-make it M15/R18 or whatever and move on.

It can be slow in places but also very suspenseful. It's not for everybody, sure, but I would recommend at least trying it before you write it off? Later games in the series are a lot more action-ey so perhaps try one of those.
