You have the objectively best taste.

The kind of announcement that evokes a very shruggy who cares?” response.

Unpopular opinion, but Grogu should have stayed in season one as the “goal” of that season only. Mando should have had one overarching mission for each season.

As a child of that era, I can absolutely assure you that ewoks did not carry the franchise through the 80s. They didn’t even exist until Return of the Jedi, and at that point the franchise was already a juggernaut. Yes Ewoks were a thing and marketed, but not like r2d2 and the rest. The ewok spinoff was a complete

This is just awful news. The Mandalorian is really overrated (four episodes of story stretched over 24), and Ahsoka was terrible. And both projects will suck all the oxygen out of whatever actual new stories people want to try telling.

It just feels like Star Wars is stuck in its own imagery. It’s like the creative forces behind it think about what fans want to see first, come up with “cool” scenes, and then try to pin story to that imagery/those scenes. Andor was the only one to do it right, and it’s because they put characters first, Star Wars

What an incredibly shitty title.  Doesn't help that Grogu is the worst name they could pick for baby Yoda.

“The Mandalorian and Grogu?” That’s the name?

There’s just very little I can think of about these characters that makes me want a theatrical movie about them. They work great in television format, with slower storytelling (even if it’s been of varying quality). Grogu is a perfect couch potato character, where you can just giggle at how cute he is with really low

Can we just come to grips at this point with the fact that “Grogu" is a terrible damn name, even by Star Wars standards?  It rolls off the tongue like something resembling acid reflux.  Like I can't even possibly conceive of what they were thinking with that, especially with a character that they obviously intended to

I have never heard any one claimed they “Loved the Rise of Skywalker”. I’m also not the biggest Star Wars fan, which is why I loved The Last Jedi. But The Rise of Skywaker is cowardice in movie form. A studio bending the knee to the worst areas of fandom, attempting to make a film that doesn’t offend anyone, that

My main question is:

WHY? Why? WHY?

Ugh.

Just NO

This might be the first Star Wars movie that is met with a collective shrug and *meh*. At least before 9 we had a sliver of hope that they knew what they were doing with an overarching story.

Feels like a miscalculation. I’d rather just wait for the film to hit Disney+ than to pay extra money to see a film that would have been included as part of my subscription.

Not interested in a Star Wars movie where I have to watch those TV series first.

Ok, before I start, I love Grogu. He’s plastered in at least 4 spots in my house, and is the best character of the post- Rogue One canon.

What do they need to do or show us, that requires a big screen, that an 8-10 hour season can’t?

I can’t explain exactly why, but I think this news shaved a few years off of my life expectancy.
