An absolutely terrible take, particularly in reference to Max Payne. I recently played 1 & 2 on PC and they are an absolute mess. DLC - Downloadable Content, anything that you download that was not in the game content-wise counts as DLC. The core premise of the article (that CP2077 is massively behind on its release sched.) is sound but harping on DLC not being DLC is a stupid angle to approach it from.

It is functionally Johnson’s vanity project wholesale now and he likes the character in modern times and in an anti-hero role so that is what is going to happen almost immediately instead of building across multiple movies to that point. 

Grogu and how he was treated in Book of Boba is part and parcel of the problem. Mando S2 clearly sets up for him to go away for an extended period of time but before S3 even starts he’s back and eating up screentime in a story that has nothing to do with him.

Book of Boba should have had zero Grogu and just the smallest amount of Mando. It is an incredibly cowardly move after giving him such a send-off to run back to him as soon as possible because his merch moves units when the story clearly means for him to be gone for at least half a season of Mando.

Pretty much, though where Book of Boba became Mando 2.5 is debatable its all the same fear. How is it that someone could take an idea as cool as “The Godfather but in Space and the Don also shoots lasers” and completely fumble it with fear of doing anything interesting is baffling to me but they managed to do it.

Why not have Oceanco disassemble part of the yacht? They were stupid enough to build it in a place that it can’t sail from. Oh yeah, because its a billionaires’ world and we all just occupy space in it.
