I don’t totally agree. Nintendo’s past two systems have had a controller and pack in game and there are bundles that have an extra controller. Neither do they pretend that their consoles are multimedia centers and playing online is still free.

Ranked battle is great! Winning is like solving a puzzle because you have to balance which lanes to ink since that has a big advantage in mobility to get to a zone and defend it. It also builds your special. But too much peripheral inking leaves the zone uncontested. Its deep!

I had a lot of reservations about this game and they were all put to rest in the direct EXCEPT you can’t team up with friends! You can join the same pool of 8 players with a friend but its random whether or not you are on the same team.
