Allow me to toot my own freakin horn here. I am the proprietor of a certain restaurant that makes and sells sub sandwiches.. I have an employee with a chronic illness and I ALWAYS make my schedule to accommodate their ability. Means I work over or nights sometimes but, SO? I would never ask anyone to work sick. I

This is how we treat people in corporate America. Everything is disposable and replaceable. So of course they're going treat them like shit. Corporations are in the business in making money not helping people or making things better. If a customer or worker got sick, just throw a couple of dollars to make it go away

I've heard that as well, that some people don't like to be asked about their tattoos. But as someone who has tattoos, I think you have to expect that if you get something in a place where people can see it, be prepared that people will comment or ask about it. If you don't want to discuss your tattoo, don't get it

Don't you understand how commenting works? People comment. They express opinions. You must spend a lot of time annoyed if you didn't get that was the point. There are opinions all over this damn place.

My problem with those ads is that volume is not optional and for most of them, skipping is not an option either. Frankly, when they come up, I immediately close the page and don't even read the story, then I make a note to never buy that product. I know you don't necessarily have personal control over it, but

When I read this on Gawker it sounded like he leapt out the window holding his son, and I could muster some sympathy for someone so depressed that he thought the world was too awful for himself and his child.

I'm willing to bet the idea of "If I can't have him, nobody will" was in his head.
