Inhumane = harsh or severe. A life sentence is harsh or sever. It is not torture.

Jail isn’t torture. Jail is adult time out. They are fed, clothed, and given free time. Torture is waterboarding them, pulling their finger nails out, permanent solitary confinement, or other extreme pain. I won’t accept your position that taking away someone’s freedom after doing something = torture. It simply isn’t.

Addressing the issues in society is a different topic, and I agree on that. I also agree that we should focus on rehabilitation so long as it is applied equally.

I don’t understand this at all. Black people don’t want crime in their community either. I get there are numerous factors that affect criminal behavior, etc, but dismantling the system is not what I ever wanted. I simply want Black and White Americans treated equally under the criminal justice system.
