I'm with you on Downton Abbey (too soapy for me), but The Good Wife deserves just as much love as Game of Thrones. The women on that show in particular are stellar.

A bit put out that none of the supporting cast from Orange is the New Black got nominated for anything. Personally, I found most of them way more compelling than Schilling.

Yeah. I know the posters don't mean any harm, but as someone who didn't realize how low the depths of her libido had sunk until an unrelated prescription accidentally drove it back up (best side effect!), it's mildly frustrating to be so flip. I'd think that if anyone can appreciate that most women lack an

1. Ugh, the Daily Mail. Gross.
2. Did participants choose the celebrities on their own, or were they given a pre-selected list to choose from? I also wonder about age demographics, because I can't see loads of men describing Jennifer Aniston as having their dream woman's forehead, or Shakira their dream woman's hair,

Literally?

In fairness, Ben Whishaw has ambiguous chemistry with everyone. (See: The Hour.)

Yes. Yes to all of it. Thank you for so eloquently summing up what has been skulking around my head. While I wouldn't quite call Lois down to earth — that is so, so Clark, whereas Lois is a little more assertive and aggressive despite being so otherwise grounded — everything else you said is 100% undersigned by me.

SemiReformedFangirl, you are my soul sister.

You have essentially looked deep into my soul, and put all my deepest This is Why I Dislike Wonder Woman & Superman in a Relationship feelings on display.

I like all those things, so on the edge of being sold. Have you read other writers' take on WW? If so, how do you think the current title would compare next to, say, George Perez or Greg Rucka's interpretations?

Have you read any of Azzarello's other work? If you don't mind humoring me, where would you rank his work on WW beside anything else? I've found that I really enjoy Azzarello when he's working on his own creations, but other titles tend to flip me over the edge — I wanted to claw wildly in sad nerd rage when I read

Elseworlds as you described it is seriously the only way I'll accept that pairing. If nothing else, I've never been able to reconcile Clark and Diana — Diana is so far beyond Clark as to be ridiculous.

Oh, I'm furious that Wondy's first film appearance is as a supporting character and a potential love interest in the boys' movie. That's bullshit. We all know it's bullshit, and yet Hollywood insists on their self-fulfilling prophecy because they're too lazy to invest the time and money in a guaranteed success.

I haven't been reading regularly since the reboot, no, though that in part is because I was nervous about how characters like WW would change. (DC is excellent at many things, but consistently treating my favorite character well? Not so much.)

What, physically? Because yeah, okay. Otherwise? Ehhh. I don't see how they're so uneven.

Cue quiet fangirl rage at the very thought of Wonder Woman, of Diana of Themyscira, stooping to be involved in something so absurd as a love triangle. (Who loathes WW with Superman? Supernumerary does!)

Between Amazon and Etsy, sometimes I wonder how brick and mortar shops survive the holidays.

I have internal meltdowns when I'm shopping in that kind of environment with other people in my party, specifically because of the 'omg, I'm going to lose them' fear. I don't know how parents shop with their kids and not go mad, seriously.

I had to hit the mall for a return the day after Black Friday. My Christmas gift to all and sundry was to not Hulk out in frustrated rage, and then to do all my holiday shopping online.

On the one hand, extremely excited for the new season.
