I deployed to Qatar twice. These third country nationals (TCNs) are treated like untouchables. Most of the facilities on the US air base outside of Doha are built by these guys for next to nothing. Service members aren't allowed to talk to them because they might reveal info to suspected terrorists, but also because…
Before we gang up on the guy, I too once sent a gift basket from 1-800-FLOWERS containing scented bath soaps, cut fruit, daisies, a bottle of mulled wine, and a sexually explicit blow up doll. They fucked up the gender in mine as well. It happens.
I'm a Southerner and my family has lived in the same rural area for over 200 years. If there is a symbol to show the pride of being Southern, the confederate flag isn't one of them. Plain and simple. You want to show pride? Feed people who aren't from the South BBQ, have them listen to bluegrass, blues, or country,…
Right to remember, sure. How about a bit of sensibility? Your ancestors held slaves, started, fought, and lost a war. How could anyone be proud of that?
Did you hear Putin's "let's not bring politics into this" speech at the opening ceremonies? I hope he realizes the world is watching him, and not in the way he wanted.
The guy who walks up at the end is probably a casino employee. I worked as a bellboy in vegas for a couple months, and I can tell you that after week 2, finding people
"Also" a basket case? Seems like having a basket would have made things a lot easier for you.
I feel terrible for the guy. With such a close-knit, upstanding locker room, there's no way the Ravens will take a chance on a questionable deviant like Michael Sam.
This is something he is used to doing. Talking with reporters after a huge loss in a game that matters.
I guarantee Joe would be quick to file a grievance if he had a problem. I know the type. "I don't wanna join a union but I have to" but as soon as the shit hit the fan its "Why isn't the union helping me?"
Goddamn those unions! Forcing their pensions and health insurance and dental benefits on American labor! The nerve of them to undermine "Right To Work" states and the employer's right to deprive employees of fair wages and paid overtime! So totally awful!
I'm not in a union. I just find it pointless to bloviate about how bad unions are, then take a job with unions, and then hear people online put forth the same tired talking points when no one is forced to take a job that is union.
Ever since we started getting our cotton from elsewhere, blue states have been subsidizing red states. Back then, it was Union states subsidizing Confederate states, starting with the reconstruction, which is going on to this very day.
You mean give union busting firms even more ammo? If you didn't have these large union busting firms looking for every single loophole they can to get into a union shop and divide the building, then we wouldn't need closed shops. They're a necessary evil.
FoxConn exists despite transparency. People know about it. It exists because it can. Because there are no rules to stop it and the workers can't protect themselves.
This is true. Unions are not 100% and also not 100% bad. However the good most often outweighs the bad.
I use aggregators like Drudge.
LOLirony.
