There's a difference between withholding information that might hinder the investigation if it's released, and deliberately obscuring or hiding information to protect your political status.

You're just eating the wrong borscht. It's peasant food and depending on poor the peasant it gets more and more plain (which arguably is a good thing), but there's all kinds of spices in it — garlic, dill, juniper... and potato, celery, onion, carrots, etc.
