How much work could be done yourself? They're quite complex, don't have a large aftermarket, and seems like they're easy to screw up. Why wouldn't you take it to someone who knew what they were doing if you could afford it?

What's the base model, 60k? In this day and age a 60k car isn't just for the fabulously rich. Where I live 2 out of every 3 cars costs that much. Hell I'm 22 and drive a 60k car, and I am by no means fabulously rich.
