Which is why a nanobot Extremis would have made more sense. The glowing would have been circuitry, not raw heat. The whole "plants regenerate with fire" didn't make much sense I'd agree.

I'm positive Vince Gilligan is aware of the gangster language he's using, like here where Ted hit his head and oranges fell (symobllism used in The Godfather) Ted didn't die but he's only seen in one more scene and that's effectively the end of his story, so the character might as well be dead.

A pity bored voiceovers sound exactly like a film noir detective though. Plus the voiceover has been internalized by most viewers now, so relevant info is lost on new viewers, aka the bored ones. In any case The Final Cut is still definitive.
