I've been using vitamin C in very high doses (up to 14 grams a day without any bathroom effects) and that's kept my allergies at bay for me.

Seems that by the time I realize it's a cold, it's too late. But, while it's settling in, I'll take lots of vitamin C, use my netti pot (even if the nose is clogged, it seems to help unclog it) and sleep.

I am definitely in a dead-end job. A few years ago this job had potential, but then they decided to 'consolidate' and any potential the position had went out the window. I would have left already, but I can't seem to find anything else that pays me something comparable to what I'm making here, and gives a comparable

Stupid, yep. But maybe a bit of brilliance thrown in. What's a better way to get new computers and accessories?

Almost bought this. But after reading the reviews about how flimsy it is, I decided against it. Although, I did end up buying a different one, after browsing Amazon. One that goes over the sink instead.

I prefer them not to see how often I'm looking at cute cat pictures or videos....

Yup. I usually only use it for certain services, but recently I've been using it for everything....ever since the news of PRISM came out

I use a combination of Feedly and Tiny Tiny RSS. I love the app gReader on my tablet & phone, the app just recently started using the Feedly API to import feeds. It's still being tweaked, but right now it feels as if Google Reader hasn't gone anywhere, which I love. I use TTRSS on my computers, mainly, even though

When we bought our TV last year, I did lots of research, reading reviews, etc online before going to (the dreaded) Best Buy to get the TV. It was great. I was able to go in, zone in on the one I wanted, bypassed the DirectTV sales guy who kept hounding the TV buyers, got the TV on sale and went on my merry way. It was

I am still very, very bummed about Google Reader, but I set up Tiny Tiny RSS which is similar and have been using that—on and off. I find I still gravitate to Google Reader, while I'm trying to get use to TTRSS.

I recently acquired a computer has Windows 95 on it...not sure what I'm gonna do with it, yet..

Watched it all on Sunday. It was hysterical. In fact, Husband and I thought it better than the first three. I really liked that the episodes were longer than the original.

Just finished the series. Found it hysterical. Hope there will be more at some point.

That's cool. Seeing this reminds me of the last Pierce Brosnan James Bond movie, Die Another Day, and the big satellite-laser-thingy that was melting the ice and the cars driving around inside of it...

Oooh. WANT! But can't.. I stopped collecting Star Wars figures a few years ago....

I had to do a double-take on this post. I have a similar situation. Husband's boss was getting read to THROW OUT an almost-new Dell Vostro 200 tower (Still has the plastic wrap on it). He rescued it for me. I went ahead and gave it 4GB RAM, a 250 GB SSD, bought a new nVidia graphics card (a GTX something I think) and

I've done it both ways. I much prefer it with the beans. I like a mixture of black beans and kidney beans. It feels more filling.

Makes perfect sense. I recently took on extra duties at work, and I can tell I'm mentally fatigued almost every day now since this happened (two months ago) Before the new duties, I'd go home and be fine. I could do lots. Now, though I go home and am so beat it's hard to make dinner, or do anything productive. All I

Since the news that TweetDeck was going away, I've been using Twitter (and Facebook was tied to it too) less and less. I haven't found a replacement I like at all. Don't know what I'm gonna do.... *sigh*

Agreed. Not that I pirate that much, I prefer to use legal sources, but it really gets annoying when items I have on my Netflix list disappear, only to reappear later on, or never come back.
