I'll keep that in mind if I end up getting the game, thanks.

Exactly, that is about how much sense this XCOM stuff makes to me. XCOM strategy games are unchanged, they continue not to be made. If an XCOM strategy game had just came out, maybe I could buy the argument that consoles messed it up. But if all they care about is profit and they don't think a XCOM strategy title…
But it's a popular PC genre too. I don't deny that consoles have screwed over PC gamers in a number of ways, but this is a stretch. They dragged up an old PC brand to market to the call of duty crowd? Is PC gaming to blame for Halo Wars, too? (That's not a commentary on how good that game was, I have no idea…
Although I have no idea how to square that quote with his comments later in the article:
But what does that have to do with XCOM? The XCOM brand has no appeal to console gamers. If they made it a FPS to appeal to console gamers, why use the XCOM name at all?
That picture is really creeping me out. Pikachu's tongue is longer than his arm...
I think it is just that it is much harder for people to judge the quality when it is in Japanese if you don't speak Japanese. So if the English dub grates on your ears, the Japanese dub feels better because you can't tell how good it is.
Can you shift the difficulty mid-game? I always want to try to start off on a higher difficulty, but I get afraid that I will get legitimately stuck and unable to finish it.
Why are you blaming consoles for this? First-person shooters are a PC genre...
I never played the original XCOM, but this "strategy games aren't contemporary" is silly. Strategy games also aren't over-saturated like first-person shooters are. I mean, maybe it will still be a good game, but "let's make it a FPS because FPSes are so hot right now" is just dumb.
There is a zombie mode in the computer game where you play as the zombies.
I guess so.
I suppose...but that doesn't seem like a huge deal really. If that is the issue, you can probably switch one of your other consoles to component instead.
It doesn't say you can't use A/V cords or SD, only that you can't use component cords for HD. SD is unaffected, basically.
If you don't have an HDTV, it says you can still use A/V cords for a SD picture, the HDMI are only required for an HD picture.
Can someone explain the downside of this to me? If your buying an HDTV these days, I can't see why you would get one that didn't have HDMI inputs.
Yeah, I haven't played Final Fantasy VII and I'm not sure I want to because I know it won't be able to live up to the hype, even though I'm sure it isn't a bad game.
Well then I don't understand your argument. Saying "it isn't a right because it is a privilege" is basically just saying "it isn't a right because it isn't a right."
Yeah, I do remember getting lost a lot. I think most older games are like that though. Modern games are much better at guiding you to where you need to be.
"Though, I haven't played Majora's Mask, A Link to the Past, or Wind Waker, so that could change in the future. "
