One of the best moments of my professional life was after interviewing a couple candidates for an internship, the guys all started critiquing one of our male interviewee's ties. Not because it was a horrible tie, but it was the first time I'd been exposed to the "put some effort into it" argument from one guy to

Ahhhh! So excited for this!!! From all the trailers I've seen, it looks like they are expanding the pre-Arena scenes a bit to include more of the political unrest as well as the rationale for the quarter quell (and who cannot wait to see Phillip Seymore Hoffman and Donald Sutherland try to out-evil each other?). Plus

GIMME!!!

Cannot believe they are keeping the iPad2 at $400. Think they'll be some great Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales? Or is Apple just doing their normal "don't act like you won't buy it" shtick?

Strangely, the iPad2 is still $400, which makes no sense given the new iPad Air is now $500. The iPad mini (original model) dropped to $300 so that might be your best bet if your folks don't mind a smaller screen.

Can I also say how much I'm digging the amount of screen time we get on Abby and Jenny's relationship? Apparently most of the writers have sisters, so they think it's a really awesome dynamic (which it is) and have chosen to explore it over multiple episodes instead of spending time on the fact that the (white) male

Between Sleepy Hollow and Elementary, I'm beginning to think all tv shows should be smart British dudes who utterly adore the women of color (who are grounded, have lives outside their jobs, and interesting family dynamic) they work with. We could do worse.

Seriously. I learned how to program the VCR in high school since my bed-time was 9:30 in sophmore year of high school and I was allowed to stay up until 10 pm by junior year. Honestly though I needed the sleep and as much as I complained about it, it was the right thing for me at the time. Of course, my younger sister

Great idea! I think I have the majority of these songs anyway - would definitely be a fun theme for a shorter run or a nice interlude for a long run!

I'll third or fourth the C25K recommendation. It took me 4 months to get through it rather than the nine weeks it outlines because real life happened, some weeks I just could not get through the workouts and I promised myself I wouldn't move on to the next week until I could complete all the workouts as described, but

Santigold is fantastic for long runs. Fall Out Boy's new-ish single "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark" has a pretty great running beat as well. Shakira, specifically the songs from "Donde Estan Los Ladrones" (Ojos Asi, Que Vuelvas, and Ciego Sordomuda). Kelly Clarkson's stuff is usually pretty fun. LMFAO's stuff

If you're into gymnastics, there are quite a few folks on ONTD who are also. I get most of my international gymnastics news there to be honest - the users there posted videos of most of the medalists events and were also some of the first to break this story.

Orlando Jones is winning, if only for his insanely awesome participation in social media to promote the show (his twitter account in a thing of beauty and it appears he has taken to trolling tumblr as well). I'm curious to see where his character goes, because the rational response to what's going on is not to let

Let's not forget Jenny "I'm totally Sarah Conner" Mills as well! Complicated sisterly relationships! Demons! JOHN CHO!

Her version of "Jolene" kills me it's so good. Granted she might have an edge when it comes to covering Dolly's song, but I always show it to people who complain she can't sing. She can, she just has a very specific range - and when she sings in it, it's awesome.

I have been so sad with Anthro the last couple years. Their previous model (maybe about 5 years ago) was one that had a much curvier base. In the last couple years it's felt like they've moved towards a straighter base model.

First off, not accommodating your guests' stated food preferences makes you a crap host. If someone is a vegetarian, you don't serve them meat products. This isn't like someone with Celiacs where you might not realize there's gluten in that soy-sauce - vegetarianism is pretty straight forward and you're being a dick.

I feel you there! I'm 27 and have a decent job (and a MA), but according to my inner-monologue and my Facebook feed I should also: have a car, have a condo/house, have a boyfriend/husband, be thinking about a kid, have a better job, have a 5-year plan beyond "stay employed", or at the very least be going out every

Jennaratrix (also in grey) is recommending Bumble and Bumble thickening cream. I've been using a combo of washing my hair less frequently (every other day) and using Neutrogena's leave-in condition and while I wouldn't say my hair ever has body, at least it looks pretty nice when down.

Thanks for the advice hair twin! Though sadly I'll have to skip the coconut oil (allergies), I'll give bumble and bumble a try. I've been using Neutrogena leave-in conditioner (the stuff you get at CVS in the orange bottle) every week or so to deal with the fly-aways and frizz at the bottom, that plus washing my hair
