Gas/ethanol E10 fuel doesn’t last long at all so he’d want to get rid of it in a hurry. All it takes is around a tablespoon or so of water and that stuff is toast. Old fashioned gas or gas without ethanol can and probably will last years. It’s not uncommon for someone to start a car that’s sat for years with old style…
