unpopular opinion: But I’ve always HATED the droopy front-end on these E39's. No way this 540i M-sport is worth REAL M5 money. The last good looking 5-series was the E-34. Fight me *flame-suit ON*

The problem, as I see it Erik, is that Jeep missed out on the “Peak Wrangler Unlimited Craze”. It took FCA too long to bring this to market and now they’re going to pay the price for it, sadly. That and the biggest engine you can get on this is a Naturally aspirated V6? That’s okay for a wrangler but not in Truck…
A Diesel Escalade?? NICE!
You’re a TRD Supercharger and a 5 speed (from a V6 Solara) away from Jalop greatness!
Love seeing my 1st Gen Chevy Volt’s steering wheel on every GM car from that era, ranging from Camaro’s to SS’s!
Would you look a that. I guess they’re finally about to use some bits of the Chevy Volt (the battery design language at least) and mount the battery in the tunnel of the car. Only way it could be that tall to mount in the tunnel. Can’t wait for a few of these hybrids to get wrapped around a pole or Cars and Coffee…
This looks like a base Ghibli so it only makes ~330hp. And since its a pre-2017 model, it has the stupid “dual dial” infotainment system and cheaper interior. Still, a twin turbo, twin-intercooled and directed injected V6 Ghibli with a stock exhaust that has the right BRAP BRAP sound on upshifts; I’d call it a NP at…
We bought our 2017 Ghibli with the Zegna Silk/Leather interior and its been dead reliable for the last 2.5 years! No oil leaks, no check engine lights, nothing. And my wife dailies it. Handles like its on rails, isn’t the fastest at (~350hp), but the NOISE! Its pure sex. The fuel economy is terrible: 21 mpg on the…
I remember back in 2010 when you could pick one of these or a 911SC runner up for $7k-$8k. And then air-cooled madness kicked in yo!
And can’t forget the mountain of torque the Voltec Drivetrain makes at ZERO RPM (294 ft/lbs, to be exact). Would’ve worked great on this “Trailblazer” instead of a 3 cylinder turbo! And take like a few modules out of the Bolt, put it under the floor and voila! Print money!
On my 1st Gen Volt, you can only use around 10.8kwH out of the 16.5kWh battery, BUT, I get 47 miles out of pure electric everyday on my commute in the Bay Area, instead of the 38miles the EPA says that I should only be getting!
I’m at 81.6% EV miles but at ~80k miles on my G1 Volt myself! And I only charge at my apartment complex and get 47 miles of range round trip, even though EPA rated range is 38 miles :)
Thank you for referencing the Chevy Volt with out referencing it! But all jokes aside, imagine where GM and their trucks/SUVs/CUVs would be if they had just stuck the Voltec drivetrain in EVERYTHING!
What I guess he’s talking about is having REAL power from a 120V outlet in the bed. Can the current 120V outlets run 1500 Watts continuous? A 1st Gen Chevy Volt can with an inverter, no problem!
Uh, guys... you can just IMPORT a Mitsubishi Pajero (Montero) of this vintage from Japan that came with a 2.8 diesel from the Factory?! Instead of this “conversion”. CP
Any generator can charge an EV car! Just very VERY slowly, depending on what kind of EV it is, it could take from 24 hours to almost 4 days to fully charge at 8 amps.
A CUV with ONLY 35.5kWh battery? At best, It’ll only have a ~140ish Mile EPA range (going off of the Kona EV’s efficiency). On the other spectrum of the range, you have the last Rav 4 EV with the 41.8kWh Tesla battery and drivetrain and that only got 113 EPA Miles or 93 miles on its normal range mode that,…
That’s what I get for not reading through the thread haha
So what Mercedes is saying is: “Spoiler Alert!”
I think I know what happened. The Harley EVSE’s are probably set for 12 Amp current as a default and that’s probably frying some regular wall outlets for ill-prepared customers. Chevy had that problem initially so they set the Volt to Charge at 8 Amps as a default every time it was plugged into a 120V outlet and you…
