Yeah - I have a lot of sympathy for Hope. She went to my high school and her family always seemed like a bit of a mess. Not that this really has much to do with this incident, but I think it's safe to say that she may not have the most impressive support system.

"...plus it's in the government's best interest to encourage procreation among its citizens."

I completely love Marie Claire under her reign (minus the tendency to include 5 separate articles about Project Runway). Looking forward to what new voice she might bring to the Cosmo world, but a little sad that Marie Claire may be losing a great leader.

Agreed - it seems like sometime we'll just need to move something that was a comment to be it's own thread. No need for being dissed and dismissed. :)

Thank you. I like to think that what I do is more complicated than sitting on facebook. :)

I totally had that thought this afternoon but dismissed it as crazy-talk.

I like to decorate my 'temple' with beautiful artwork, thank you very much. ; )

Starbucks on the West Coast is pretty different than Starbucks across the country. As a native of Washington, I've always felt that a Starbucks was a great place to relax, enjoy a great cup of coffee (people can disagree on quality as much as they want, but it's one of the best outside a specialty store) and hang out

My boyfriend and I moved in together just about three months into our relationship. We didn't really have a conversation about it - I was graduating from college and didn't want to move back to my hometown, so I moved in with him. Oddly enough, into his parents' basement.

Wow. I just spit tea all over my keyboard. Hearted.

Can we just focus on how incredibly offensive "Do They Know It's Christmas?" is for a moment? I've never understood why that song is remotely tolerated...

I'm trying really really hard to love this show. The creators were writers on Buffy, which is basically awesome. It's still just starting out, but I can tell it's going somewhere.

I really wish he could be my real-life friend. And hearded as a fellow faux-Liz.

And this is the internet for you...

This makes me want to stand in front of a Crisis Pregnancy Center and protest. What fracking assholes.

I've decided that I'll reserve judgment until we have a chance to see something other than the pilot. After it being hyped all summer, there were ZERO surprises left making it pretty dull. Hopefully it gets better, cause so far I'm unimpressed.

This is totally real. It actually used to annoy me in high school that the cheerleaders were somehow exempt from the dress code. I think that our cheerleaders wore their uniforms every Friday or something like that...

Mr. Stanton actively protests getting a bigger bed. When we first moved in together it was into a tiny tiny apartment, and we went with a double to save some space. Now that we're in a nicer, larger house I can't get him to give up the idea that we can't have a bigger bed.

Braiding/wrapping in an old tshirt or other cotton towel is perfect. It'll help a lot.

I've used the Pantene curly line for years. I keep switching away to try new things because it's so incredibly not natural, but my hair just crisps up if I try anything else. Loyal, albeit not happy about it, customer here.
