Long breaks are the best idea ever. Inevitably on any closing shift when I delivered pizza (we’re talking like 4pm-2am and another 2 hours cleaning) there’d be a run out to the furthest reaches of town for a shitty tip. It was implicitly understood that that was your break run, and 95% of drivers would use that chance

I love the taste of pond scum in the morning.

Right, I wouldn’t call it the Ecto-1, but the idea of Ghostbusters franchises to me means that each one would have a similar style that’s not an exact replica.

This has been my profile picture this week. I know it doesn’t mean much, but it’s the best tribute I could come up with. It’s not been an easy week - I’ve been tearing up several times a day whenever I see Iwata-san’s name or think about Nintendo. I haven’t been able to play a game yet just because I know I’ll be too

I’m upper lower class, so while I get your phrasing, there’s a big chunk of me that’s yelling in my head “reimbursed flights for work ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”. If I had a decent job I wouldn’t even be able to afford the flight to begin with before the reimbursement - the largest amount of money I have in any year

I went to the NZ game in St. Louis (so not exactly the same thing as the WWC but close enough) and aside from the stadium experience being the first event of the year for much of the staff versus my previous experiences at Cards games, the fan environment was great. My friend that took me had us hanging out in a lot

What are you, an oil baron? It’s been a decade since I’ve flown (or left my state for more than a night) and 85 bucks is substantial money!

I got lucky that I had the same band teacher in middle and high school, and band was first period, and he gave no shits that me and my two friends that played trombone refused to stand for the anthem each morning. I try to make it a point to be in a line or in the bathroom at games during the anthem so no REAL

Maybe (probably) I’m just a 25 year old with no plans to have a kid and I use a desktop I built myself and I have a cell phone that I use to make one or two calls a week, but WHY THE HELL ARE WE GIVING KIDS TABLETS? When I was a kid I’d read a book or struggle to find an angle where I got light to see my Game Boy

I know someone that writes and draws comics. I read many comics. I don’t read his comics and turn down his blanket FB event requests to come buy his comics at launch events. It’s a pretty simple agreement.

Fuck xenon. I just love having lights as bright as the sun 2 feet behind my car making my mirrors completely useless!

Whatever. Soldiers on boats.

She IS an old southern lady. Ward wrote TT for someone he grew up with - too lazy to look up the details but I know she’s elderly and I’m pretty sure he’s from the south.

I know a couple who are happy about the decision, but wanted to note that in 30+ states gay couples can still be denied various rights and benefits that straight married couples receive. They’ll be able to get married wherever their jobs take them now, but they’re still going to make that decision based on all the

The last game I preordered was Link Between Worlds, because I was going to buy it day 1 anyway, and with a preorder I got a free Oracle game for my 3DS. Does that count as an exception to the rule?

Off the top of my head re: recent films, didn’t Battleship have a strong tie with the Navy and soldiers were extras? And on a tangent, didn’t Iron Man 3 get funding from China because of the doctor character (and also have like 12 minutes of scenes filmed exclusively for the international edit?)

Because it pops up on other Gawker websites and I have no self-control so I click through and constantly ask myself WHY AM I DOING THIS UNGH

Or a Mother 1.

Seriously, Nintendo’s done this several times the last few years. “Here is a new small game and it will be available in 20 minutes if you’re watching live.”

It’s just weird because...if it was a regular customer walking in and announcing it’s their birthday and they always tip well, would you do the same?

My whole mantra when I worked in the tip industry was to always provide the best service - if I got an historically bad tipper or a difficult address, I’d deal with it
