It’s a first-gen netbook I got as my high school graduation gift in 2008...it has a whopping 2 gigs of RAM. I can’t find the money to drop a new LAN card into my desktop or get my car working more than 20% of the time, so a new laptop is out of the question. I’m not an idiot, I know I need to get this stuff done,

I personally never had the creativity to come up with new stuff as a kid - with Duplo I’d make towers and wonder why they couldn’t stand up. The best I got to with LEGO was making cube houses and maybe including a window and door. After that I went straight to wanting sets to build with instructions to follow. Not

The new Starfire ongoing is better about this. She genuinely doesn’t MEAN to be attractive, it’s just how she is. And she basically gets told “well on Earth, we wear clothes” so she picks out clothing that is a bit skimpy, sure, but is not out of place to what some women wear daily.

They could easily paint her blue in post.

This has been my profile picture this week. I know it doesn’t mean much, but it’s the best tribute I could come up with. It’s not been an easy week - I’ve been tearing up several times a day whenever I see Iwata-san’s name or think about Nintendo. I haven’t been able to play a game yet just because I know I’ll be too

I read it as brutal in content, because...it was.

You forgot Sin City.

I’ve also been having frequent moments since this was pushed when my craptop will just freeze for 5 minutes, and restarting takes 15. Not looking forward to work tomorrow night.

I have no love for Flash, but this SEVERELY limits my ability to work. As in what I used to do on my crappy laptop in 2 minutes is now going to take 5 minutes to load up on my phone. The whole reason I run Firefox on here is because it was the most economical with my limited resources when having to use Flash.

Well, you’d have to evolve first to come up with the concept...

What I did not even hear about Squirrel Girl you’ve just totally made my night not suck (RIP Iwata) it’s glorious news to find out that your current favorite comic book is not ending because Marvel wanted to reboot their universe to sell a bunch of #1s.

My thinking is that on Earth 2 the same wormhole vortex thingy happened, and Jay gets flung on to “our” Earth as he runs in to it to stop it. Would give him an interesting plot of wanting to get back but being willing to impart what he’s learned to Barry as long as he’s stuck here.

I’m upper lower class, so while I get your phrasing, there’s a big chunk of me that’s yelling in my head “reimbursed flights for work ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”. If I had a decent job I wouldn’t even be able to afford the flight to begin with before the reimbursement - the largest amount of money I have in any year

Huh. I genuinely did not know that - I’m also born in 89, so to me a hearse a long black wagon and an ambulance is a boxy truck/van. And even in whatever situation...I’m in the suburbs, and funeral homes all own a hearse, and ambulances are run by fire departments and private companies. I’d never imagine a situation

I got some of the vague details I listed wrong (namely that it was a Nazi plan), but basically the idea was to dam Gibraltar and divert excess water to flood the Sahara - in theory making both areas farmlands. But hey, you’re here in the comments of an alternate reality post and you

X goes to another planet, is confused, is super-strong. Falls in love with a princess and fights as the leader of an uprising against the ruling class. I mean, I’m not trying to say it was a ripoff or something, but it is seemingly influenced if for no other reason than Barsoom was one of the original tellings of that

There was actually a plan to drain the Mediterranean to create a giant farmland if the Third Reich had prevailed and taken over at least Europe and Africa.

I went to the NZ game in St. Louis (so not exactly the same thing as the WWC but close enough) and aside from the stadium experience being the first event of the year for much of the staff versus my previous experiences at Cards games, the fan environment was great. My friend that took me had us hanging out in a lot

I look at Abrams Trek as his way of creating a resume for Star Wars and getting paid to do it. I hate what he did with my preferred franchise, but I can see the makings of a good Star Wars movie in there.

I believe a few months ago they said that if it’s received well they’re willing to look in to putting Vixen on TV. This was before we learned of Legends, so I’d guess that’s where she’d land - though your JLU screencap makes me worry that they might feel her character is too similar to Hawkgirl for whatever reason.
